The revelation by the Special Public Prosecutor, in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, Rohini Salian that she has been pressurized by an officer of the National Investigation Agency to go soft in the case is a matter of deep concern.

The Malegaon blast case is among the chain of cases such as the Mecca Masjid bomb blast, Samjhauta Express blast, the blast at Ajmer Sharif and the Modasa blast which are among the major terrorist attacks in the country.
These were perpetrated by a Hindutva extremist network in which more than
100 people were killed.

What is being revealed by Ms. Salian indicates that there is a serious attempt to sabotage the case after the Modi government came into office.
There should not be any interference in the legal and judicial process concerning these cases.
